My name is Karalee and I am an artist that lives in Los Angeles. I also am a writer with 2 books in the works. One about the time I lived with The Maasai Tribe in Kenya, and the other book co-authored with a reporter about my life in The Telecom World and what really goes down behind the guarded gates of the homes in Beverly Hills and Bel Air.
I am the daughter of “The King”..as in the King of Sports, Horseracing. My Dad “The King” was at that time in the 50’s and 60’s the world’d greatest handicapper. My older brother and I traveled with him, as we followed the race tracks, Santa Anaita, Hollywood Park, Del mar, Caliente and so on. When The King died. the race tracks lowered their flags at half mast.
My Dad “discovered” a littel known jockey name William Shoemaker, he was on of my Godfathers..”Uncle Willie” along with “Lee the flea, The Cowman, The Prince and names right out of the book. My Dad called me “Lucky” and I would hold the tickets when we had horses in the race. There are many photo’s of me with The King in the winner’s circle. The first time I got a “leg up’ was with a jockey named Johnny Longden. I was the first girl “hotwalker” and have been riding ever since.
My sister watches Texas Holdem Tournament”s and is a fan of yours. Her name is Tamara. She called me the day you were interviewed and said ” you were looking for a wife that would travel with you on the circuit”.
Tamara told me”Call this gambler…or email him..I think you 2 might be a great fit”.
I am alittle late, as I was Liivng in England, working with the museums- all art related projects.
I grew up in SoCal and know all about Santa Monica..went to school with surfers and fellow class mates that became “empires’.!!!
I also lived and raised my 2 sons in Ojai, where I owned and operated my art gallery “The Artist and The Outlaw”.
If you think any of this sounds interesting to you, for a friendship, a traveling companion..I just might be the girl for you! If you are married or having someone special, hold onto her tight..hard to meet honest people with integrity..I don’t know why, but I hold my family and extemded family inside my heart.
I am 5′4, 128 pounds, a blonde, brown eyed girl (like the van morrison song)…and very hip ! The father of my 2 grown sons was born and lived in Worster Mass.
He grew up close to the Hoffmans and was best friend of Abbie Hoffman little brother Jack…There is a lot more to that story!
