I cound't agree with you more about the six seat SNG which is my favorite on-line game. I invariably start off 'super tight' wich allows me to get a good read of players at the table. The first thing that I am aware of is how agressive the player to my left is. This is key--if he's super tight, you can rob him blind later on in SB/BB pots--and if he's aggressive it can make playing pretty challenging when your 'card dead.' I find the next most important thing is to quickly sort out the tight 'bluffable' players from the 'calling stations' and the 'maniacs.' Early on, I try to avoid big chip confrontations and focus on taking down smaller pots. However, there's nothing worse though than being seated with 5 calling stations when you're running card dead.
